Nethy Bridge is an ideal base from which to explore the Highlands. The village is less than 3 hours drive North from both Edinburgh and Glasgow. Inverness Airport is only 35 miles to the North and Aberdeen Airport is 75 miles to the South East. Aviemore Railway Station is 12 miles to the South West.

An excellent range of sports and outdoor activities including golf, winter skiing, mountaineering, walking, fishing, tennis, horse-riding, gliding and water sports are all available locally. The variety of outdoor activities is unsurpassed any where else in the United Kingdom.

The area is steeped in history. Culloden Battlefield, Fort George and Ruthven Barracks bear witness to the Jacobite Rebellions of the 18th century. Elgin Cathedral, Spynie Palace, Pluscarden Abbey and Brodie Castle are all historical buildings of outstanding appearance and significance.
