The crofting owners ensure that everything is maintained to a high standard. They live in the adjoining house (the apartment has a separate entrance) and if called upon will provide every assistance to ensure your stay is enjoyable. There is a fully enclosed garden and on site parking, however, we are sorry we are unable to cater for pets.

The apartment is ideally situated for climbing, hill walking, fishing and catching sight of the natural wildlife which include red deer, otters and numerous seabirds. Boat trips can be taken from Elgol jetty, just two minutes walk from the apartment, to Loch Coruisk in the heart of the Cuillin mountains.

As well as being a crofting community, Elgol is also a fishing village with a fleet of local boats, which land their catch, mainly prawns, at Elgol jetty on a daily basis. The apartment owner also owns a fishing boat so seafood can be provided, if required.

There are sites of historical interest such as Spar Cave, the old graveyard at Kilmaree and Prince Charlie's Cave.

Elgol is only 15 miles from the larger village of Broadford and approximately 38 miles from Portree, the Island's capital.

To find us continue on the A850 to Broadford then branch off at the Broadford Hotel onto the A8083 Broadford to Elgol road which is single track for 15 miles. Continue to Elgol (do not turn off at Drinan), keep on down to the shore and the house is on your left above the jetty.
